Pensioners, irrespective of whether they receive Central or state pensions, from now on, need not step out of their homes to submit their annual life certificates to their respective pension offices.

EPS pensioners can submit Aadhaar-based Biometric Digital Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan at banks, nearest post office or at common service centres/Mee Seva centres. Pensioners only need to carry their mobile, bank pass book, Pension Payment Order number and Aadhar number. The EPFO also said that alternately, they can contact their local postman/nearest post office for submitting the Jeevan Pramaan certificate.
The Central government on Tuesday announced that Jeevan Pramaan, an Aadhaar-based Biometric Enabled Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners can now be generated through post offices or at the doorstep of the pensioner through postmen.
